Welcome to the Labyrinth Experience & Masked Ball, a magical 2 full days of Labyrinth themed fun and an evening Masked Ball. 

What is the Labyrinth Experience & Masked Ball? 

This is the second OFFICIAL Jim Henson's Labyrinth (1986) Convention and Masked Ball. It is a fan convention weekend where attendees are invited to meet the cast and crew of Labyrinth 1986. There will be talks and workshops with our special Guests and other fun activities. This event is officially licensed by The Jim Henson Company.

Main convention is Saturday 25th - Sunday 26th October, 2025

Opening Hours:

Saturday 10.00am - 5:00pm

Sunday 10:30am - 4:30pm

Labyrinth Screening 5:00pm - 6:30pm (optional extra)

The Masked Ball is on Saturday 25th October 7:15pm-11:15pm

Ticket information/FAQ's

Can I upgrade my ticket Pass?

No. â€‹

​

Will tickets be available to purchase on the day? 

Tickets are likely to sell out before the event date so may not be available on the day. 

​​

Is the venue accessible?  

The main areas of the event are accessible and step free, though Wycombe Abbey does have some mixed terrain including gravel and grass.

Is there a partner hotel offering a discount?

Will there be official licensed event merchandise?

Can I bring my carer?

Yes, carers passes are available please see our ticket page for more information.  Please email proof that the person you are attending with is your carer such as a letter from your GP, carers allowance letter/statement or other official document to admin@thamescon.com in advance of the event. Please allow our team 5 working days to process your information.

Can I bring my dog?

No, dogs are not allowed unless they are a registered assistance dog. If you are bringing an assistance dog please email admin@thamescon.com to preregister them.

(Feel free to send pictures of your dog too, our admin would love to see them!)

Can I access free water?

There are plenty of water dispensers around the venue, please bring your own bottle.

Is there food and drink at The Labyrinth Experience? 

Yes there will be plenty of food and drinks available to purchase.

Parking at The Labyrinth Experience 

There is a small amount of accessible parking for blue badge holders only.

To apply for a space please email admin@thamescon.com with evidence of your blue badge at least 2 weeks before the event date. Please allow our team 5 working days to process your information.

Masked Ball

What is the Masked Ball?

The second official masked ball, a magical evening of music, entertainment, special guests and surprises.  There will be a Goblin bar with food and drinks available to purchase.

Saturday 25th October 2025 7:15pm - 11:15pm

Is there a shuttle bus from the event hotels to the Masked Ball?

No, our venue is quite central to High Wycombe so there are plenty of taxis and local parking options available. 

​

Is there parking at the Masked Ball?

There is a small amount of accessible parking for blue badge holders only.

There is plenty of local parking in High Wycombe as well as taxi services.

Is there a dress code?

YES! The Goblin King is very fussy and he will only allow you to enter his Ball if you are in formal attire or appropriately themed cosplay.

Is there food and drink at The Masked Ball? 

Yes there will be plenty of food and drinks available to purchase, including themes cocktails and Mocktails.

Is there somewhere to get changed?

Is there somewhere to store my belongings? 

To be confirmed.

​

Which ticket passes include the Ball?

The Labyrinth Pass, The Goblin King Pass and the Masquerade Pass (ball only).​

​

Are children allowed to attend the Masked Ball?

The Masked Ball is for, and aimed at adults but children are certainly allowed to attend. We do not have a different ticket rate for children. If you have a dependent that is 2yrs old or younger, you may bring them to the Ball for free but please keep in mind there may be loud music and flashing lights.  

​

Is there a carers pass for the Masked Ball?

No, unfortunately we are unable to offer free or discounted tickets for the Masked Ball due to the limited capacity. 

​

Workshops & Talks

 

How Many workshops are there?

We'll have a selection of great workshops, these are announced as soon as they are confirmed. Workshops may be announced up to a week before the event date. Some workshops are free to all ticket holders and some are an additional cost. 

​

Can I pre-book a workshop?

All paid workshops will be available to book and places are limited. Workshop booking will be available as soon as they are announced. All free workshops will be on a first come basis on the day but don't worry, there will be multiple workshops to choose from.

​

How many talks will there be?

We'll have a selection of  fantastic talks, these are announced as soon as they are confirmed on our Facebook page and then added to the website.

Are the talks included in the ticket price?

Yes all talks are included in all ticket passes.

​

Special Guests 

​

Who are the special guests?

Guests are announced on our social media channels first and then added to the website here. 

​

When are guests announced?

Guests are announced as soon as they have been confirmed subject to work commitments. 

​

Will the special guests be signing autographs & doing selfies?

All of our special guests will be signing at the dedicated signing session times at the main event.

Event Schedule will be available 2 weeks before the event date.

Please note that special guests will not be signing or doing selfies at the Masked Ball. 

​

Do I have to pay for autographs or selfies with special guests?

For the most part yes, but some guests may sign for free. 

​

Cosplay 

​

Can I attend the event in costume/cosplay? 

YES please! we actively encourage it, however you don't have to if you would rather not. 

​​

Do you have any rules about costumes, weapons, and props? 

This is a family friendly event so your costume must be appropriate i.e. no nudity etc. You are not permitted to bring real weapons, fake weapons will be checked by our staff. If we feel that your props could cause damage to another individual, then it will not be allowed into the event. 

​

Will there be a Cosplay/ Creature showcase? 

Yes! There will be a cosplay showcase on the Saturday & Sunday at the convention (not at the Ball). You will be invited to come on stage and show off your costume & do a few lines or a 'bit' if you like. 

​

Can I enter the showcase on both days?

Yes you can, as long as you are wearing a completely different costume/cosplay. 

​

How do I enter the Costume/Cosplay showcase?

You do not need to pre-register. You can simply turn up at the stage area 10 minutes before the showcase starts.​

​

Photography & Filming 

 

Will I be photographed or filmed at the event? 

Yes! You are more than likely to be filmed or photographed by our official media team and associated press. If you do not want to be filmed, please make one of our official event Media team aware when you get to the event. 

​

Can I bring my own professional filming equipment?

Unless you have been given a press pass you are not allowed to bring filming equipment into the event.  You can bring a camera. 

​

Can I film in panel talks & workshops?

No, we kindly ask that you do not film in any talks or workshops but you are very welcome to take lot's of pictures! 

​

Can I get a press pass?

Typically we do not give out press passes to third parties. If you are interested in a press pass please email  info@thamescon.co.uk . Please note, we do not do press passes for the Masked Ball.

Will be bag be checked before I enter the event?

Yes, on site security may check your bag at any time.
